At start we would like to provide you some (un)neccessary facts.
Študentská spoločnosť RIO was establish at the date of 7th September 2009 next to Gymnázium Trebišovská 12.
That is all you need to know for now :)

Our school cooperate with the Junior Achievement organization each year, and this year is not an exception. They gave us an opportunity and support in this project, where creative, active and funny people will improve their skills. For these year we are all of those people mentioned :P

The name of our company RIO may sound familiar to you and you are right. The first thing on your mind may be the squash available in any ordinary shop or it may remind you of a well known pub in Bratislava. Firstly we did not realise it, but after some time our shareholders brightened our minds and we are very thankfull for that :)
The roots of our name are not very wide, the proces was based on spontaneity. Hand in hand with the name we thought out our motto as well : ‚Live your carneval‘ . We wanted it to be something amusing, something that would gain your attention. ,,We need something temperative, something like Rio de Janeiro." Great idea was slightly shortened and here we are in colours of the city known for its carnevals.
You may have realised, that these three letters bring luck, therefore we hope we are no exception :P

RIO. Be aware of this name as the name of the students‘ company that would each day of this year there with you in order to brighten up your lives. That is what we mainly aim to do :)

Plan of the international trade

The priority is to be offering high quality products and services, which posses the ability to be demanded abroad. Our products with the school’s logo, or the logo of partner-schools, will be introduced into the market in many of the cooperating countries.
In order to increase the effectivity we will use the strategic plan of the company. The main role will be done in cooperation with the marketing and production department. Our aim is to exchange products between us and our international partners, afterwards they will be offered to the school in our school chocolate store.

The communication will be done mainly through the internet, e-mails or phone. The products sent will be rather seasonal products therefore it is not possible to define them at the beginning. At the beginning of each new product we would consider the marketing plano f the company and adapt it to the circumnstances recognized by the primary market research. .

Plan of human recources

The main duty of the vicepresident of human resources is to keep an evidence of employees‘ attendance and activity.This department is one of the most important departments as it is about everyone in the company.
Afterwards their job is to pay the salaries and wages based on the amounth of hours worked.

Description of the project

Students‘ company RIO, š.s. will take work next to the Secondary School Trebisovska 12 in Kosice. Students‘ company is the part of the educative system. Applied economy, which is the part of the project set by Junior Achievement Slovensko, n.o. , will provide economically based knowledge on the standards higher than average. It will be achieved by different kinds of projects, e.g. students‘ companies. The aim of the project is to help students to find their way in the world of market economy. Apart from this knowledge, students would gain much more, practical experiences in terms of enterprise. Furthermore they would have an opportunity to examine their skills and their presumptions for the job of a manager. Company will target its offers mainly onto the market of our coevals – schoolmates, and on the closest community of the school ( employees, parents, teachers etc.). The main criteria is remains the same – effectively, therefore achievement of the profit.

A) History of the company
Students‘ company RIO, š.s. started up at 7th September 2009 on the field of The Secondary schol Trebišovská 12 in Košice as the students‘ company, which similates the operating of an incorporated company.
Students‘ company RIO, š.s. is set fot the limited period of time, no longer than until 15.05.2010

B) Owners of the company
The owners of the students‘ company RIO, š.s. are all the shareholders, including employees, but directing and operating is only in the competence of the management and the employees of the company.

The value of the starting initial capital of the company is 330 € (9941,58 Sk). It was formed by the income from the founder of the company and afterwards it was divided into the 100 equal shares, whereas the value of one share is 3.30 € ( 99,416 Sk).

Students‘ company has its financial assets, which are kept on the bank student account of the OTP Bank Slovakia.

C) Personal of the company


Personal is made up of 21 administrative employees. From which 5 are settled in the management position as well.

Plan of marketing

Marketing, as one of the principles of the trading policies of the company, does not consist just and only of the process of selling the products. Its target is to get to know customes‘ needs as well as to fullfill them. The research will be done through investigation within the students. We will try to reach our targets with sufficient profits. To do so we plan to introduce the products into the market at the right time and with the right price.
Success, or unsuccess, would be depend on the well-prepared marketing strategy, which will reasure these sales policies are followed and to make it easier it would use these main policies:


Product – aiming on quality of service and products offered
Price – it is not important to bring to offer the best, but to find the balance between the real-use value and price.
Promotion – presentation of the product or service, which must be targeted on the well chosen market segmenation group
Place – key is to find a proper way and place how to sell the product
People – it goes on just with skilly people.

Programming – planning, sequence
Partnership - cooperation

The main part of this strategy would be a regular detailed market research. Proper market research would gather enough information about potencional customers and their needs to show off what the next best adaptation of the marketing strategy for each project would be. Afterwards chosen tools may include::

Product, its usefulness, quality, etc.
Price of the produkt / flowing pricing policies of the company
Distribution (promotion, advertising, sales support, public relations)

Aim

The student‘s company was established in order to support school in the school year 2009/2010. Its aim would be to maintain the service offered by school companies until now as well as to increase the quality of the service, which would afterwards presented to our target group within the borders of school – therefore in terms of education, personal improvement and improvement in behaviour, sport activities as well as the vital part in cultural aims of school.

Plan of production

Student’s company RIO , š.s. will buy material, which they would further trade. This material will be marked with a logo of the company and school, and would be sold to customers. Student’s company RIO , š.s. will organize many different school and freetime events, where RIO would provide its services to students and teachers as well. Advertising, such as preparation of posters and leaflets, actualisation of the notice board and the website, which would be placed on the server of the school, would make sure that these two segments of the company would cooperate.

Calendars with the themed photos of classes

It is a very popular tradition, therefore we would like to maintain it, but as we are RIO we would like to do it in rather original way by using a different theme on each page of the calendar following the events happening, e.g. Christmas, Halloween etc..

After last year’s success we would design our own line of the elegant shirts with the logo of GT12 for every day use.

Last year favourite tea room would be replaced. Renewed and with more sparkles is something to look forward.

How much time have u already lost in the school entrance area by waiting for a rain to stop? Well, tht is over ! One of our new products are our matchless umbrellas with a logo og GT12, which will be available on the rainy days as well as at any point of the school year.

Annual photoshoot of the school’s classes

This year we would like to maintain the tradition of a annual photoshoot. With a agreement of a head of the school we would take a lesson from previous years and have it done under our year by year stricter eye. Quality and flexibility go first.

Targets are mainly hearts of the women as we are talking about this excellent eco friendly accessories. We would use materials such as nuts, dried limes and coffee beans …

One of our latest arrivals is our collections of the products made of exclusive kinds of leathers. We would offer handbags, cosmetic bags, bags for glasses and phones etc. .
Everyone with a taste for good quality and design would be tempted.

Ladies and gentlemen! Also this year we are making a legendary school calendar. It´s a hard work, because it is a product made by everyone. Absolutely everyone, you, too. Obtain photos of your classes needs common co-operation and sentiment, which definitely make this limited edition on school year 2010/2011 more qualitative.

It was Thursday, 8th October, when our first real event took place, as well as the examination and introduction of our students' company.

It was basically an exam pointing at our organizational skills, calculations and our assumptions. According to the past companies we were afraid of possible losses, failure or misscariage` the risk was obvious.

Our student’s company has chosen one of those symbolical calendary dates to held the opening Plenary assembly. 29.09.2009 was one of those first cold autumn mornings, which was not helpfull our for any pitty reason increasing nervosity. Noone could deny, that first impression is made only once. Well dressed and with much higher heels as usually we found hour way into the common room, where the debut presentation of our student’s company took place.
